We hold collections of original records and manuscripts relating to the history of Peterborough. Our online searchable database currently contains over 25,000 catalogue entries including:

• the administrative records of Peterborough City Council and its predecessors;

• papers documenting the work of the Peterborough Development Corporation;

• original manuscripts penned by Helpston poet John Clare.

All the catalogued collections that we hold within Peterborough Archives Service have been added to the database. We take in new material all the time, however, and we have a backlog of collections waiting to be entered. If you think we hold a collection or item that you cannot find in our database, then it may be part of our uncatalogued holdings.
