Admin/Biograhical HistoryJoseph Baker & Sons bought the Saginaw factory of Werner & Pfleiderer after the First World War. R Elmer Baker was appointed president of the new American subsidiary, which became the dominant manufacturer in the United States of machinery for the bread baking industry. In later years it became well known for manufacturing certain types of machinery for the chemical industry.
